Our New School Year Program
We’re excited to announce a new structure for our 2026-2027 Youth Program.
Over the years, we’ve watched many students fall in love with a particular apparatus and immediately want more Fabric, Lyra, or Acro. While that enthusiasm is wonderful, we’ve also seen that the strongest circus artists are rarely the ones who specialize the earliest. The strongest circus artists develop a broad foundation first.
That’s why we’re introducing Youth Circus Academy, a new 85-minute weekly class that serves as the primary training program for youth students ages 9-14.
Youth Circus Academy combines aerial arts, acrobatics, strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, performance skills, and creative movement into one comprehensive weekly training experience. Students will work with multiple coaches and train across a variety of circus disciplines while developing the physical and creative skills needed for long-term success.
Rather than choosing between aerial and ground skills, Academy students will train both.
How Enrollment Works
Option 1: Youth Circus Academy (Recommended)
For most students, we recommend enrolling in Youth Circus Academy as their primary weekly class. This class will be held on Mondays from 4:45 - 6:10 pm.
This is the core of our youth program and provides the most comprehensive circus education.
Option 2: Youth Circus Academy + Electives
Students who wish to spend additional time on a particular discipline may add elective classes such as:
• Teen/Tween Aerials 1 (Fabric, Hammock, Trapeze & Other Apparatus Foundations) – Thursdays at 4:45 PM
• Youth Fabric 2 – Tuesdays at 4:45 PM
• Teen/Tween Lyra 2 – Tuesdays at 4:45 PM
• Teen/Tween Lyra 3 – Tuesdays at 6:00 PM
• Youth Ground Circus Skills – Wednesdays at 4:45 PM
• Teen/Tween Fabric 2 – Thursdays at 5:45 PM
Many students will choose Academy plus one or two electives for additional training throughout the week. This is the tentative youth school year schedule we are working on and is subject to change.
Option 3: Elective-Only Enrollment
Students may also enroll in individual elective classes without participating in Academy.
However, elective classes are designed as specialty training opportunities. Youth Circus Academy remains our recommended pathway for students seeking a well-rounded circus education.
Youth General Circus (Ages 6–10)
Youth General Circus remains our introductory circus program and the only youth class available for children under age 9.
This class introduces students to a variety of circus disciplines through age-appropriate games, movement, aerial exploration, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, and creative play.
For students ages 9-10, Youth General Circus may continue to be an excellent fit, particularly for those who are new to circus, new to organized extracurricular activities, or still developing the focus, independence, and body awareness needed for Youth Circus Academy.
Students in the overlapping age range of 9-10 may choose to:
• Continue in Youth General Circus as their primary class
• Enroll in Youth Circus Academy
• Participate in both Youth General Circus and Youth Circus Academy
Placement recommendations may be made by instructors based on age, maturity, prior experience, and readiness for the demands of the Academy program.
Which Option Is Right For My Child?
If your child is new to circus, transitioning out of Youth General Circus, enjoys multiple disciplines, or you’re unsure where to start, Youth Circus Academy is the best choice.
If your child already knows they love a specific discipline, they can absolutely add elective classes. We simply encourage students to build their overall circus foundation alongside that specialty training.
Our goal is to help students become circus artists first and specialists second.
Not Ready to Commit to the Full School Year?
Our Youth School Year Program is designed as a year-long commitment, which allows students to build skills progressively and develop strong relationships with their coaches and classmates.
Beginning in September, if space remains available after school-year enrollment is finalized, we may offer rolling 8-week enrollment and drop-in options in select youth classes. Full school-year students receive priority placement, and any remaining openings will be made available through these shorter enrollment options.
If classes fill completely, that’s great information for us too. It helps us determine where additional classes and training opportunities may be needed in the future.
Registration for the 2026-2027 Youth School Year Program will open in July after summer session enrollment closes. We anticipate many classes will reach capacity by September, so returning students are encouraged to register early to secure their preferred classes and maintain continuity in their training.
